Why great leaders never stop training On 26/03/2013
Today I would like to share an article done by Brent Gleeson, a Navy combat veteran on why training is very important for anyone who terms themselves as leaders.Leaders usually know that their people need training and development. The smartest leaders understand that the same applies to them--and that the need is ongoing. Here are five responsibilities that ensure leaders can never stop training: 1.     Leaders define the mission. A clearly defined mission starts with the leadership, is ingrained in the team, and is constantly reviewed. Mission success relies more on training than it does on planning. Rarely .....

HOW LONG DO YOU WISH TO LIVE? On 06/12/2012
As you may already know i am in the children ministry in my church and one of the basic verses that all the children know by heart is Ephesians 6:1-3 6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[.....

Nada On 26/01/2011
Nada is a coined contemporary word meaning nothing. As in it means nothing. Not that it doesn't have a meaning but it means nothing. It's one of those weird things like where a teacher asks in class, "how do you say 'I don't know' in swahili? Then everyone shoots up their hand and choosing one they sya, "sijui", then the teacher goes like, "nataka mtu anajua"... You get the point......

There are two types of CEO's On 20/03/2013
There are two types of CEO's: A. Leads by remote control or is confined mostly to a room including conducting meetings there, and generally prefers to interact only with direct reports. B. Moves out of the office, and interacts with people across the organization at all levels. If you are heading an SME, it would be worth your while to follow the latter approach. Think of yourself as one of THE teaM – in short, one of THEM. So mingle with them. Don’t always call them to your room; instead, go and meet people at their workstations.....

"Lucrative job" adverts targetting gullible jobless Kenyans On 25/03/2013
I join my friends who have raised concerns on the authenticity of most online job applications. I too at times do have those questions and it all calls for one being cautious in approaching the issue. Some if not all of us have interacted with an email that has been circulating with information that there is a Chinese Company that is doing recruitment for about 2773 jobs across the 47 counties. From the surface this looks a very nice deal and one is meant to believe it totally. Whether this is true or not am yet to understand but allow me to unearth a few truth about the deal;.....

CAREER DILLEMMA On 09/07/2012
I being a student, it has come to my attention that most people in my class are doing something completely different to what they want. Amongst my peers it's also a common thing and so I have came to realize that its a problem faced by many of us that needs to be talked about. Everyone knows a story about a smart and talented businessperson who has lost his or her passion for work, who no longer looks forward to going to the office yet remains stuck without a visible way out. Mostly everyone knows a story, too, about a person who ditched a 20-year career to pursue something completely different—the lawyer who gave it all up to become a writer or the auditor who quit her accounting firm to start her ow.....

A letter from the US President. On 29/11/2012
Heard of mobilizing people through the internet? Here is a letter from the American President. Hello. Today, I met a woman named Lyn Lyon. She's a senior citizen from Virginia, and we invited her to the White House because she wrote in to explain why it is so important for all of us to make sure that taxes don't go up on the middle class. "Let's show the rest of the world we are adults," she said. "Living in a democracy, we can solve our problems by working together.".....

Try and make Cents On 10/04/2013
It doesn’t matter how slow you are making them or how few they seem to be. Keep making the cents. My grandmother is my role model when it comes to making cents. She believes that a 10 year old child can make two shillings out of one shilling in one day. She doesn’t tolerate madmen; she makes them work for food. She taught me to not only think but work it out. We go to school only to advance our knowledge and learn more about our careers, but not even the vice chancellor can make the top student think. Its time that the youth in this country came to.....

LOVE:Hearts Will Break On 11/02/2012
Hearts will break, When you're so into them, You realized it's the wrong Chem., You've yourself to blame, You always swam and sank deep, Especially after weekend rides in his jeep, All this time you've enjoyed the beat, Considered that night out as a treat, Soon you're gonna realize they're a cheat, And hearts will break. You have until December, All the way from January, So why are you waiting for the 14th of February, To express your sick feelings, In some sick flowers, Chocolates,Candies, Erotic Undies, And extravagant Panties? Soon you'll be in a love zoo, And your world will turn blue, Then you finally grasp a slight clue, That all this time you've called them boo, And stuck on them like glue, They've just been a bag of decaying poo, That's when hearts will .....

I did it all On 05/04/2012
It was well in heaven, where the cries of the mortals were heard, helpless pleas of a depraved souls, of a people that once possessed the divine glorious beauty. We frowned in love, as we watched in hurt as they moaned and groaned in their vanity in which they would perish with no doubt. The earth was in chaos .Deity wept, their hearts deeply in untold tumult.Heaven was in pain. A sacrifice,an undefiled seed was needed. In a instance of weakness, love bent the father's stance. His heart caved in, his Son had to go The Son unquestioningly took the mantle, never once considered his lavish life, the comforting presence of his father he left ,stepped into the human flesh,he felt a fresh fear, the mission was on ,i.....

Cake Oh! Cake-If Only I Could Eat You and Still Have You :-) On 28/11/2012
“My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.”― Dave Barry “Romance novels are birthday cake and life is often peanut butter and jelly. I think everyone should have lots of delicious romance novels lying around for those times when the peanut butter of life gets stuck to the roof of your mouth.” ― Janet Evanovich “Let's just say you may regret that second piece of cake.' Oh my God. Regret cake? Whatever was about to happen must be truly evil.” ― Rachel Hawkins, Hex Hall “You've got this life and while you've got it, you'd better kiss li.....
